I’ve been playing with colour more often lately but at the end of the day most of my wardrobe is still minimal black basics and most of my outfits are just that with a focus on accessories. Plus I told you I was back in a serious bodycon mini phase. Oops.
Things to note! Amazing necklace a gift from the lovely Langoliers! Look they have a website now! You can buy things and poke around the weird underground of their site where you can read things we wrote about TS Eliot or whatever! Also! Davines Nounou conditioner, Davines sea salt spray, and my windy roof are apparently the most wonderful things to ever happen to my hair I bet it will never look like this again oh well! Also: Sally Hansen crackle nail polish, ooh.
Langoliers “Sybill” necklace! (And Obesity + Speed tee.)
Not playing with the sample jewelry at work or anything in anticipation of when my own version comes in, no… (Better previous photos of things you will be able to buy online, uh, as soon as I finish their website copy: here!)
“I’m going to compete with cheap fashion by doing it before they can. Fuck them.”
I’ve written about how awesome Bijules is a billion times before (and so has everyone else, I know) — which is why I was psyched to read that she’s planning on starting a less expensive diffusion line, hilariously named “LeBij” (am I a 13 year old boy, or just pronouncing that wrong?)
Also, continuing this 13-year-old thing and proving that I never grew out of being a tween hot topic manic panic mallrat (as if the nose ring wasn’t enough evidence?), I’m sort of loving the green hair in that picture, despite my usual intense aversion to all things not black/grey…still kind of wishing I had long blonde hair to dye bits of it with semipermanent light blue/lavender/pink. AAH.
I love the trend that’s developed over the past few years of making beautiful high-quality jewelry out of ugly, macabre, or dangerous things — nothing new, but I’ve got so many of them bookmarked that I love - after the jump:
