LOOK YOU GUYS I’M DOING AN OUTFIT POST AGAIN OOOOH. I am really into these stupid sneakers and dont’ know why I’ve been afraid of sneakers for so long? THEY LOOK GOOD WITH EVERYTHING and it’s really weird (and by weird I think I mean great) having my feet not hurt at the end of the day.

after MONTHS of searching for ‘baggy, but not too baggy, just like, straight-leg but sorta saggy in the knees and kinda low rise but not too low rise and flimsy almost-white pale denim’ I FINALLY FOUND A PAIR OF PANTS
Somehow it has only just been brought to my attention that I look and dress like Kelly Bundy, which is actually probably the best comparison ever and also HILARIOUS and AMAZING and also why didn’t anyone, myself included, ever point this out before and duh, I’m going to make a post about it and I really need some more weird boatneck off the shoulder shirt things and a bigger cross necklace, don’t I.
So I stumbled across this photo in my dash:
which kicked off a solid twenty minute Googlefest of image search magic and compulsive search term tweaking to find out WHAT THE HELL THIS IS FROM SINCE I OBVIOUSLY REALLY, REALLY, REALLY NEEDED TO KNOW. Turns out it’s from Rio Fashion Week SS2013 and is some rando Brazilian swimwear line called The Blue Man, and now all I can think about is THOSE BACKPACKS and THOSE CLEAR VINYL ACCESSORIES and THE LUCITE SHOES and did i say THOSE BACKPACKS?
I know I keep going back to Baz Luhrman’s Romeo + Juliet as major aesthetic inspiration lately, but it’s so dead-on: lurid and hypersaturated but totally goth, a little futuristic but a little bit backwards, overstyled and tacky cultural pastiche but still gritty, too much but therefore just enough. (And we all know how I like anything that overdoes it.) And this - and that Meadham Kirchoff men’s collection, oh my god, I didn’t post it because what would I have done, posted the whole collection captioned with EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!? - fits right in with that.

So I got this sports bra at Target and basically am never going to wear another shirt again all summer, is that cool with you guys? Longer skirt thrifted, shorter one from H+M last year. (I totally should have worn something other than those weird flat maryjanes but whatever, we were walking a while and I needed to be comfortable.)
