Givenchy SS2010 is basically how I want to dress ALL THE TIME. Black and white with CRAZY GREEN SHOES. Short skirts and little leather jackets. Bondagey studded accessories with businessy silhouttes. Unecessary architectural details. Yes. Did I mention green shoes. GREEN SHOES.

I know, I know. Pastels? Frills? Ribbons? Floral decorations? Mary-janes? (Y’all would be surprised, I actually own 3 or 4 pairs) Fur accents? Am I feeling okay? But seriously, I LOVE the New York-y, old-Hollywood-glamour of Nina Ricci PF2010. Fuck florals and chiffon and pink and breezy Chloe-esque “femininity”: when I think “girly” and “grown up” in a good way, this is what it’s all about — unusual and feminine details on what are otherwise very basic and classic silhouettes. Those two tone gloves? The details on the pumps? The greys and maroons and the bold black ribbons? Red lipstick? Unf.
