A lot of the photos and commentary at People of Public Transit fall into the “mean-spirited asinine jokes about those less fortunate” category — but there are also plenty of hilarious WTF-moments (bag of legs?) AND a nice beginner collection of all my favourite MTA celebrities — look! our dear ACE/L train mariachi band! I just wish they had the guy with a cat on his head too, the NQRW barbershop quartet guys, and that absolutely amazing G train banjo/ukulele guy whose nightly slightly-off-key ukulele serenades of ‘Fools Rush In’ are among of my fondest (or something) memories of Greenpoint.
