My boyfriend returned from Japan with probably the best thing I’ve seen in my entire life, which is what appears to be a small Japanese graphic novel dedicated entirely to the adventures of one fat grey and white kitty whose name appears to be Mako Cat.  The back jacket seems to have ads for about 10 other books with this lil’ guy on the cover, so I’m guessing it’s a series — as it’s entirely in Japanese except for one web address on the first page — http://scomu.jp/makocat (HOLY SHIT).

I’ve no idea what anything in the book says but you can still sort of get a story out of it. Mako Cat looks sadly at table prepared with pretty food. Mako Cat tries to eat it and makes sticking-tongue-out-gross-faces for a few pages. Mako Cat happily eats cat food with a friend cat instead and then takes a nap. Etc etc etc, and I squeal like a 4 year old through all 100 or so pages.
Edit: Apparently, it’s available on Amazon.
