You’ve been lied to, folks: more than half the time I’m not wearing anything fancy or inspired or, like, conceptual at all. Usually I’m just squeezing myself into a pair of ripped-up or skin-tight black jeans, throwing on a really good teeshirt or tank and some giant wedges/serious boots, scribbling more eyeliner and shiny dark purple stuff than is socially acceptable all over my eye sockets, and piling on about three pounds of necklaces. Cold weather also means extra layers, which for me is always a hoodie, a leather (or waxed cotton, like this one) jacket, and however many scarves I manage to grab off the peg as I run out the door since last year’s obsession with layering scarves kicked in. You’ve all seen every last piece here before and probably eighty seven permutations of this exact outfit (that’s what all those links are, ugh) and even basically this exact post and that’s fine. It’s been working for years and it’s probably not going to stop anytime soon.
