The sheer amount of shit I jack/compulsively save/bookmark from Melissa’s blog probably deserves its own post at this point, doesn’t it? Though she’s in LA now, Melissa grew up (like me!) in New Jersey and shares my undying nostalgia for the pre-MTV Jersey shore and other bizarre things detailed in the days when Weird NJ was a poorly printed magazine we hunted down at record stores. She posts plenty of other old weird America fodder as well, from postcards to film stills to advertisements, as well as her own photos, which are full of the same charming-and-vintagey but more-than-a-little-bizarre California aesthetic.
